QR For Events started as a tool for event invitations — and it still is. But we kept hearing the same thing: "Can I use this to share my Wi-Fi password?" or "I just need a quick QR for a URL." So we built exactly that.
Quick QR is a brand-new tab on the QR For Events homepage. Pick a type, fill in your details, choose a style and color, and download. That's it. No steps hidden behind a paywall, no account needed, and — importantly — no data ever reaches our servers.
What is Quick QR?
Quick QR is a lightweight, browser-based QR code generator. Everything happens locally in your browser — no network request is made when you generate a code. You pick your type, enter your content, customise the look, and download a PNG. Done.
Your data stays with you
We never see the URL you typed, the Wi-Fi password you encoded, or the contact details in your vCard. The QR is generated entirely on your device. When you close the tab, it's gone — nothing is cached on our end.
13 QR Types — One Tool
URL
Link to any website, product page, portfolio, social profile, or landing page.
Text
Encode a plain message, note, address, or any text you want people to read.
Pre-fill a recipient address, subject, and body. Scanning opens the email app ready to send.
SMS
Pre-fill a phone number and message. Scanning opens the messaging app instantly.
Wi-Fi
Share your network name, password, and security type. Guests scan and connect — no typing.
vCard
Share your name, phone, email, and website as a digital contact card. Scanning saves it to the phone's address book.
Why these types?
These cover the most common everyday QR use cases. A restaurant owner sharing their Wi-Fi. A freelancer putting a portfolio QR on a business card. A shop adding an SMS shortcut to a poster. A speaker sharing their email before the session ends. A cafe placing a QR Cube on every table with Instagram, UPI Pay, Google Review, and their menu link on each face. All of these take under 30 seconds with Quick QR.
Customise Your QR — Without Losing Scannability
A plain black-and-white QR code works, but a styled one gets more scans. Quick QR lets you choose how your QR looks — and every style we offer has been tested to remain scannable.
5 Dot Styles
Unlimited Colors
Six ready-to-use color presets cover the most common brand palettes — navy, blue, red, green, purple, and black. If none of those match your brand, the custom color picker opens and gives you any color you want.
Change the style or color while the QR is already on screen and it re-renders live — no need to click Generate again. Just pick, see, and download.
Color tip
Keep a strong contrast between the QR dots and the white background. Light colors like yellow or pale pink can reduce scannability. Dark colors on white always work best.
The New Tab UI — No More Scrolling
Before this update, you had to scroll through all event type cards to find what you needed. Now the homepage is split into two clear tabs:
- Events tab — all event types (Wedding, Birthday, Corporate, Concert, and more), exactly as before. Requires an access code.
- Quick QR tab — the new everyday QR generator. Completely free, no code needed, nothing stored.
Switching between tabs is instant with a smooth fade-slide animation. The right tool is always one click away, never buried under a long scroll.
How to Generate a Quick QR in Under 30 Seconds
Click the "Quick QR" tab
On the QR For Events homepage, tap the Quick QR tab at the top of the generator. No login, no code required.
Pick your QR type
Choose from URL, Text, Email, SMS, Wi-Fi, or vCard. The input fields update immediately for your chosen type.
Choose a style and color
Pick a dot style and a color before or after generating. The customisation panel stays visible throughout so you can tweak anytime.
Generate and download
Hit Generate, see your QR instantly, then click Download PNG to save it. The downloaded file includes the "Crafted with qrforevents.in" credit line baked into the image.
Real-World Uses That Become Effortless
Cafés, restaurants, and offices sharing Wi-Fi
Print a Wi-Fi QR and stick it on the table. Guests scan and connect in one tap — no more reading out a 16-character password. The password is encoded in the QR and never touched by our servers. Restaurants use this on table tents and menu cards. Hotels place them in guest rooms and lobbies. Co-working spaces print them on welcome desks so new visitors connect instantly.
Digital business cards with vCard QR
Add a vCard QR to your business card. When someone scans it, your name, phone, email, and website save directly to their contacts — no typing, no lost cards. Real estate agents print vCard QRs on "For Sale" signs so potential buyers can save their contact instantly. Consultants, freelancers, and sales teams use them at networking events and trade shows. Unlike paper cards that get lost, a vCard QR saves directly to the phone's address book.
Shops, counters, and retail
A URL QR linking to your Google Maps listing, Instagram page, or review form. Print it on a receipt or display it at the counter. Generating it takes less time than writing the URL on a chalkboard. Restaurants link to their online menu or Google Reviews page. Salons link to their booking page. Retail stores link to their loyalty programme or catalogue.
Speakers and presenters
Put a URL or Email QR on your last slide. Audience members scan to visit your website or pre-fill an email to you — while you're still at the front of the room.
Product packaging
A URL QR linking to your product page, how-to video, or user manual. Generate it here, download the PNG, drop it into your design file, done. Food brands link to nutritional information or recipe pages. Electronics brands link to setup guides or warranty registration.
Email QR for customer support and feedback
An Email QR pre-fills the recipient address, subject line, and body text. When someone scans it, their email app opens with everything ready — they just hit send. Hotels place these on checkout desks for guest feedback. Clinics use them on appointment cards so patients can email questions directly. Nonprofits print them on donation receipts so supporters can request tax documentation.
SMS QR for instant text messages
An SMS QR pre-fills a phone number and message. Scanning opens the phone's messaging app ready to send. Restaurants use them for reservation requests — guests scan and text "Reserve 4, Friday 7pm". Small businesses use them on flyers so customers can text for a quote. Schools use them on event posters so parents can RSVP with a single scan.
Social media profiles and landing pages
Use a URL QR to link to any social media profile — Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, or Spotify. Musicians print Spotify QRs on gig posters so fans can follow instantly. Influencers put Instagram QRs on business cards. Companies put LinkedIn QRs on trade show banners. The URL type handles any link — social profiles, Google Forms, payment pages, PDF files, app store listings, or video content.
Healthcare and clinics
Clinics and hospitals use Wi-Fi QRs in waiting rooms so patients can connect without asking reception. vCard QRs on appointment cards let patients save the clinic's contact details instantly. URL QRs on prescription bags link to medication information or follow-up booking pages. No patient data passes through any server — everything stays on the device.
Education and schools
Teachers put URL QRs on worksheets linking to supplementary videos or online quizzes. Schools print Wi-Fi QRs in libraries and computer labs. Universities place vCard QRs outside faculty offices so students can save professor contact details. Open day organisers use Email QRs on brochures so prospective students can request more information.
Real estate
Agents place URL QRs on property listing flyers linking to virtual tours, floor plans, or full listing pages. vCard QRs on "For Sale" signs let interested buyers save the agent's contact in one scan. Open house sign-in sheets can include an Email QR so visitors can request follow-up details directly.
QR Cube - Printable 3D Desk Display
QR Cube is the newest addition to Quick QR. Instead of a single QR code, you get a printable 3D cube with a QR code on each of its 4 sides — four different links, all in one compact desk display.
What is a QR Cube?
A QR Cube is a paper cube you print, fold, and place on a counter or table. Each side has a scannable QR code — one for Instagram, one for your website, one for UPI Pay, one for Google Review (or any custom link). The top and bottom faces show your business name and logo. Anyone who picks it up can scan any face instantly.
How to Make Your QR Cube
Open the QR Cube card under Quick QR
Go to the Quick QR tab on QR For Events, then click the QR Cube card. No access code required.
Add your branding
Enter your business name. Upload a logo from your device or paste a logo URL. The top and bottom faces use your branding automatically.
Configure the 4 QR sides
Pick a type for each side from Instagram, Website, UPI Pay, Google Review, WhatsApp, or Custom. Enter the value for each. A live 3D preview updates as you type.
Choose a color and size
Select a single color theme for all 4 sides or keep the default per-type colors. Pick from 4 print sizes: 6 cm, 8 cm (default), 10 cm, or 12 cm.
Download the PNG net and print
Click Generate QR Cube to render the flat net. Download as PNG. Print on regular paper or card stock. Cut along the solid gray lines, fold on the light gray lines, and glue the 8 tabs together.
QR Cube for cafes, shops, and counters
Place a QR Cube on every table or at the billing counter. One face links to your Instagram so customers can follow you. One face links to Google Review so satisfied customers can leave a rating before they leave. One face opens UPI Pay for quick payment. One face links to your online menu or website. All four in one object — customers interact with it naturally.
QR Cube for reception desks and offices
Corporate offices use QR Cubes at reception to share their LinkedIn page, company website, contact vCard, and feedback form all in one object. Visitors pick it up, scan the face they need, and put it back. No printed brochures to take, no URLs to remember.
QR Cube for trade shows and exhibitions
At a trade show booth, counter space is limited. A QR Cube replaces four separate QR code standees with one object. One face for your product catalogue (URL), one for WhatsApp inquiry, one for Instagram, one for your lead capture form. Visitors can scan any face without turning the object — the cube naturally shows a different face to whoever is standing at that angle.
What Makes the Downloaded QR Different
When you click Download PNG, you get more than just the QR matrix. The image includes:
- Your chosen dot style and color, rendered cleanly at high resolution
- A white background with generous padding so scanners can lock on quickly
- A small "Crafted with qrforevents.in" line beneath the QR — visible in the preview and baked into the download
Save before you leave
Quick QR codes are not stored anywhere. If you close or refresh the tab, the QR is gone. Download the PNG before you navigate away — it takes one click.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Quick QR completely free?
Yes. No access code, no sign-up. All 13 types are free to generate and download as many times as you need — including QR Cube.
Does my Wi-Fi password or URL get stored anywhere?
No. The QR is generated entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers. We have no way to see what you encoded.
Can I change the style or color after generating?
Yes. The customisation panel stays visible after the QR is generated. Change the dot style or color and the QR re-renders live — no need to regenerate.
What happens if I close the tab before downloading?
The QR is lost — it was never saved on our end. You'd need to generate it again. It takes about 20 seconds, so that's fine.
Can I use the downloaded QR for commercial purposes?
Yes. The PNG you download is yours to use — print it, embed it in designs, put it on packaging. The "Crafted with qrforevents.in" line is included in the image as a credit.
Can I create a QR code for my social media profile?
Yes. Use the URL type and paste your Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, or Spotify profile URL. The QR will link directly to your profile when scanned.
Can I link to a PDF, video, or Google Form?
Yes. The URL type works with any valid web link — PDFs hosted on Google Drive, YouTube videos, Google Forms, app store listings, payment pages, or any other URL. If it opens in a browser, it works as a QR.
What is the difference between Quick QR and the Barcode Generator?
Quick QR generates 2D QR codes that store URLs, text, contacts, Wi-Fi credentials, and more — scanned with any smartphone camera. The Barcode Generator creates 1D barcodes (Code 128, EAN-13, UPC-A, Code 39) used for product labelling, inventory tracking, and retail scanning. Both tools are free and work entirely in your browser.
What is QR Cube and how do I assemble it?
QR Cube is a printable 3D desk display with a QR code on each of its 4 sides, plus your business logo and name on the top and bottom faces. Download the flat PNG net, print it on paper or card stock, cut along the solid gray lines, fold on the light gray lines, and glue the 8 tabs. Assembly takes about 5 minutes. Use 80-100 gsm paper for a lightweight cube or 200 gsm card stock for a sturdier display.
